I have heard mix feelings about FST in the past. I am planning on sending the wifes Lakota motor there for a 350-400cc stroker build. Any good or bad luck with them. I want her quad to have reliability thats why we will keep it at 10.5:1 comp pistion. Any comments on Powroll. Or any other four stroke hypo shops that are good. All I know is back in the early eighties when Mickey Dunlop was racing 200X'x for Powroll they kicked ass. But, now he owns FST which I have heard mixed things about. Any suggestions, I want my wifes Lakota to out run a piped 400EX in the dunes and still ahve reliabilty. Me I'm normally a two stroke guy buy I have the Raptor on order so if the Lakota project works good I will have them trick out the Raptor. How does say 760-800cc Raptor sound.

A past issue of DirtWheels Magazine had Mickey Dunlap build a Mojave and Lokota strokers. They were turned into 350cc motors and put out 35hp if I am not mistaken.

FST does okay work, not the best. They build the bigbore stroker kits, but have very little reliability. Team Kawasaki's bike had all sorts of problems, that's one of the reason Team Green went back to a stock 250 motor for this season. I would give TC racing a call. They do great work. They built a race Mojave a while back that was ranked. It was very competitive with race 250R's and Banshee's. It will take a lot of work and $$ to get your Lakota up to speed.

Let me give you a little demonstration of what your encounter with FST will be like:

1. Take your hard earned money
2. Wipe your a$$ on it
3. Flush it down the tube

Trust me, I learned the hard way. Save yourself the trouble and just stick a grenade in the lakota motor. You'll wind up with the same results!

Well put.
