Default 2 stroke break-in???

I have just finished rebuilding the top ends on my bike and quad. Both are two strokes and I have heard different opinions on what type of premix to use during the break-in period. I use fully synthetic oil for normal riding. Some say to use a synthetic blend, some say use full synthetic if thats what you normally run and some say it doesn't matter as long as you do the break-in procedures properly. It would make sense to me that a non synthetic would allow the rings to wear quicker therefore making them seat faster. Any opinions would be greatly appreciated

I use the full synthetic oil, you may want to also mix some with the gas too. I think I mixed 4oz. to a gallon. (just to be safe) RcR told me that the break in is about 3 hours. AND make sure you aint running lean, check that plug!!! I had mine back together for 3 days and burned a hole in the piston.

if you are only breaking in a new piston and rings then you will be fine with only a tank. The only time you need real extensive break-ins is when you replace the rod and bearings as well.

dont add more oil then what you already need to have (im assuming 32:1) More oil wont do anything but foul plugs. When breaking in the motor you want it to run at a normal tempature so adding more oil keeps it from reaching that tempature. The heat is what breaks in the motor but the key is to not have too much heat all at once (like getting on a fresh motor and putting it to the bar right away.) all you should do is let it warm up real good and then take it for a light drive on your first tank.
