Some of you probably know this.
I just took off the right side engine case to repair the shifter spring, and BTW, check my clutch. How do I know if it's worn or not. By measuring the space between discs? If so, I measured 1/16"...Is that right?
Thanks for any input.

You should take out the plates and measure them with a caliper to check for tolerance. Look in your manual to see what the minimum thickness should be. You should also make sure none of the metal plates are warped, you can check this by laying them on a very flat surface. If the metal plates are a bluish color it means that your clutch got too hot or maybe ran too low on oil.
