Hello, new here and hoping i can get some advice.

A little while back a purchased a honda vf1000R sport bike. It now has an atv rear swing arm, and front forks from a honda 3 wheeler. I had been looking for a 4 wheeler frame to swap the motor into. Really wanted a banshee, but a buddy of mine may trade me a warrior for some things i have.

The warrior needs a cdi box, but seeing as how it's just slow anyways, i thought maybe i could use it as my donor frame/body for my bikes engine.

Does anyone know how much space there is to work with in the warrior and if i may encounter any issues? I know that i'll have to fab up new motor mounts and things of that nature, but I'm afraid that it may not fit without cutting the frame up.

If i only need to cut a small section and re-weld, that's not a big problem, but if it needs to be massacred to fit then i may not get it. I want it to be fast, but saftey is my #1 concern.

Thanks for any help.

You might want to pass on the warrior frame and try to find a used Bombardier DS650 frame instead. You still have to reweld the frame but it will fit much better and the frame is strong enough to handle the extra power.

Thanks guys. I'm in the process of buying a new home, so paying for a frame, and everything to make it complete is out of the question right now.

I'll still get the warrior, but just fix it and not swap in the bike engine. Be good for a little trail riding, and for the kids i guess.

The only engine swapped quad i've been around was a 250r with a suzuki 650 road bike engine. That thing was quick, but went thru sprockets/chains on a regular basis.

Thanks again.
