do they make a difference in performance? i thought about getting one lately, do you know where i could get one? how much would it cost?

 

K&N filter makes a huge difference. That's the first upgrade I do. There's many options with k&n, do you have a 2 or 4 stroke? With either you'll need to change your main jet. My scam and ds filters were around $35, but I got the power kit for the ds which was a filter, set of mains and a needle jet, along with a service kit(oil and cleaner) for $125. Makes all the differnece in the world.
