Default Free 300EX Project

Heres my project quad, 2002 Honda 300ex, it was raced and being rebuilt. Anything I can do make it more powerful? Its mostly going to be mudded.

Was it raced in the stock class? Otherwise I'd be surprised if it doesn't already have motor/clutch work...

I know I need an air filter, I tore mine right off, and there is already no airbox.

Not really...even running it may tell you nothing...sometimes builders will put there stamp on the cylinder...otherwise a tear-down is required to identify motor work done...

Changed tires, put gas in it, and put the chain on. Battery must be shot and electric start wont work, tomorrow I going to try to push start it, any ideas?

New tires on the 300EX

22 inches next to 25 inch tires

Original 20 inch studded tires

If your going to be muddin with no airbox, your asking for future problems.
Mud is wet and the airfilter will not keep the water from getting into the carb and water in an engine spells trouble. Their are many other machines out there that would be much better mud machines

Ive changed my mind but I am unsure how to edit my posts, the air filter will be repaced when the quad starts to work.
