megamax 2 tuning

I need some general info about tuning the number of discs on my megamax 2 pipe for power.
More discs=more power? more discs=more top end? etc.

I have a 01 Wolverine with K/N and jet kit.

Feel free to tell me your best setup.

Less disks = more back pressure, more disks = less back pressure.

Tuning with the disks is not as easy as saying more disks = more power. The Wolverine is a perfect example.

Since the Wolverine is a two-valve engine, with a very mild cam (the valves aren't open very long), it will probably do best with fewer disks. I'd start with 5 and jet it there. Then you can mess with it a little, add a few extra, see if you like the power better. I'd say no more than 7 disks at the most, and no fewer than 4.
