I was out riding my lt230s today, and it worked fine. But sometime between when I turned it off, and tried to kick it back up again to park it in the garage, something died. The kicking felt loose, like the decompression lever was on, but it wasn't. So I tried to push start it. It still wouldn't work. So I thought It was my spark plug, I took it out and cleaned & regaped it. Still didn't work. Then after trying to push start it the third time, the kickstarter just freezes. I think somethings up with my piston. I gave it oil earlier today, so that's not it.

Did it make any noises/act funny before you shut it off? kicking over real easy sounds like no compression, that could be anything from burnt piston, broken rod, stuck valve, etc. More than likely, now that it is locked up,something in the gearcase or the cylnder seized up, give me some more info on what happened before the problem, there are a lot of probable causes, but I'll need more specifics to make a better guess.

I have no idea what happened. I just pulled up in my driveway, and turned it off. I sat for a couple hours. I'm putting in new top end gaskets tomorrow anyway. I guess I'll see soon enough.

This sucks!!! I just got done tearing open my top end, and to my HUGE suprise, it was not a broken rod, or busted piston. Instead, a screw had somehow got sucked into my intake valve, making some nice gashes in all around the valve, and hurt my piston a little bit. The only place I think a screw would have come from, is a couple months ago, my air filter fell off, because it wasn't screwed on. Oh well, I guess no more riding for a while.
