I was wondering what I could do to make my warrior lighter, with out spending a whole lot of money. Thanks.

I put a aftermarket bumper on and a took my foot peg gaurds and that medal piece behind my foot pegs. Aftermarket pipe drops some weight.

Fill the tire with helium.

Sorry I couldn't resist that one.

Change everything possible to aluminum. I am not sure if the warrior comes stock with aluminum wheels, if not, get those, that will help quite a bit. Also an aftermarket pipe, bars, etc. You could maybe even cut unneeded pieces off the frame, but be careful with that of course. But none of this is gonna drop the weight drastically, probably wont even feel the difference actually.

My suggestion is buy a 300EX and put some mods on it to make it as fast as a warrior. You would drop a lot of weight that way.

Sure a 300EX a whopping 20lbs. Hardly alot of weight difference. Why bother dropping a few pounds anyhow? Some aftermarket tires, works front shocks and a steering damper go a very long way in improving jumping and handling for under $500 it's fairly inexpensive as well.

Another cheap buy for a little weight savings is the emergency brake block-off plate and buy the e-z pull clutch lever. You also clean up the looks of your quad. Magic racing and a few other places offer these. The clutch pull is considerable easier with the lever and thats always nice.

300EXs have a dog for a motor also so that's yet another reason they suck, besides the whole honda thing that is.......

If You are lookijng to loose weight on the warrior....that must mean that you are ready to up yourself into a machine that is better suited for high flying, hard hitting riding. I would not worry so much about losing the weight....Though aluminum replacements can help.

I would possibly look in the other direction, and upgrade the suspension to make it better able to handle what you can give it.

Just a thought..... But yes Bumpers, rims, bars, brakes...changing all this can help...but it takes alot of swapping bolt-ons....to get a noticable weight difference. When most of the weight problems on the warrior are in the motor itself.
Theres not much you can do for that.

True that a 300EX is a "dog" in stock form. Honda designed it too run forever by detuning the engine and having an ultra-quiet exhaust system. But start adding performance mods. And a EX blows a Warrior away. Warrior 2-valve head, EX 4-valve head, lighter weight and better suspension.
No comparission!
