2000 Polaris sportsman 500, top speed 35 mph
#11
Found the diaphragm in the carb had a slit in the rubber causing it to lose power when the throttle was pushed what would normally go above 35 mph. The suction would become so great the fuel would push thru the slit in the rubber and the result would be a loss of power. Had it fixed last year which is what took so long to get back to you. Thanks for all the help, I wanted to post the results so you all can keep it in the back of your mind when working on your own machine or helping someone else as you did for me.
Thanks again,
Jeff
