any body have any ideals. I have a 96 425 magnum that runs decent but it blows gas out of the carburetor into the air box and low on top end power the compression is about 107 it starts great and it seams like it is running hotter than it should because the fan runs a lot but its not boiling over any body have auy ideals thanks

First thing first! Before you tear into the carb, etc, remove the valve cover and check if the cam shaft exhaust lobe has been ground down. This was a common problem on 1996-2000 Magnums and Sportsmans. This could be the reason for the gas blowing back into the air box,low power, plus usually they will backfire if the cam is bad! If the lobe doesn't look like the intake lobes on either end of the cam shaft, the cam and exhaust rocker arm will need to be replaced. IF the cam is ok,then could be a carb problem. Magnums were bad about wearing out needle and seats, float arms and float pins. On the cooling system, run with the radiator cap off until the fan cycles on,top off radiator coolant and replace the cap. See if this helps, could be trapped air pocket. OPT
