Every sensor in the machine ends up sending a signal to the ecu module, even if it goes to the speedo first. You can try jumping the brown/white wire to a good ground from the 16 pin speedo harness or simply jump down closer to the front diff itself and see if it helps. Don't really think it will on the efi system like it does on the non efi machines, but worth a try. Look at the flow chart in the wiring diagram in the manual. There has to be a good signal from the hall effect sensor to the speedo, then it jumps internally in the speedo to complete the awd circuit ,for the awd icon to light and the awd to operate. If the ecu doesn't get it,you don't get it.... Plus there are several speedo checks to eliminate the speedo itself as a problem on different areas, but if you're sure the hall effect sensor is damaged, replace it.

I put the new hall sensor on it and that fixed the speedo but still no awd. I guess my next step will be to trace the wire from the AWD switch back down into the wiring harness connectors and see if something came loose when I put the front plastics back on.

Just jump the brown/white front diff wire to a good ground and see if the awd works now. If you have the awd signal on the speedo, awd indicator lights up and have voltage to the diff power wire and after trying a reground you still can't get it to work, then could be the old plastic roll cage or armature plate problem.

Well Ive been riding it with no problems since I last posted on here but today I fed the cows and was goin cross the yard and it just died on me.. now it does absoluetly nothing. When I turn the key switch I get nothing at all. I have 12.8 volts and I checked and cleaned the main ground on the frame. All the small fuses are good. Would a relay cause this or do you have any advice how I can get it goin again?

Pull the fuse block up and check the wiring going to the connectors. We had a lot of problems on the fuse block wiring shorting out from vibration, touching the frame or wires touching other connections.http://www.cyclepartswarehouse.com/f...2006&fveh=5687
