Engine timming 700 twin 02
Hi,
I am new to the sight thanks in advance with any help U can provide.
Bought on 02 Sportsman 700 not running.
What is the best way to insure/check that my motor is in time? Having trouble starting like the motor is binding/hydro locks when it cranks over. the starter is acting up also.

Ducati ignition systems on the 2002 to early 2004 were the problem. Hard starting,backfiring,some would kill their machine only to have it not start up again.Many posts on this. Replacement #2202602 Kokusan kits are on ebay,Cycle Parts Ware house,Cheap Cycle Parts,etc. Plus here's a video on one.
