Will a Sportsman 570 fit in a 5.5 ft Ford 150 bed?

I think this will work based on what I read online but was hoping to hear from someone that actually owns a Ford and sportsman 570 whether I can transport the atv safely in the bed. Thank you.

if you put the tailgate down. My brute force won't quite fit in my shortbed Chevy with 6.5 ft bed because front bumper sticks out too far without tailgate down. You might look into getting a bed extender

Over the wheel wells. Gives me the shivers when I remember one of our guys loading an 800 in the back of a Ranger. Back window didn't hold up too well when the bumper bounced into it.. Like mentioned tail gate down and has to be pulled in slowly unless you have a sport bed like in my old Chevy truck.

Only with the tailgate down. My back tires are against the tailgate when closed and I have a 6ft bed.

It should fit in between the wheel wells with about an inch clearance on each side if Fords are as wide as Chevys. I think all full size trucks are slightly over 48 inches between the wheel wells so they can carry sheets of plywood and drywall.

I've got plenty of room betwen the wheelwells of my Silverado. The 09 650 is a little narrower than a new 570 though but even a 50" rzr should fit between the wheelwells of a full-sized truck. A Ranger like OPT mentioned has a lot narrower bed. I had an S10 years ago when I had my Scrambler 500 and I had to drive it over the wheelwells to load it. I almost flipped it over on top of me unloading it once. Shortly after that, I bought a small trailer to haul it. I no longer have the trailer though. You can find a 5x8 trailer used for around $600-$700, maybe less. That's another option to haul it. One with a fold down rear gate would be very easy to load and unload as well.

Please verify: The Sportsman 570 is 48" between the tires, and 83" front to back length according to Google. Funny, but the Polaris website didn't have the "box dimensions" of length, width and height.

So it appears it fits between the wheel wells, but it is almost 7 feet long. You're going to have a hang over!

You will have to rig something to hold it in securely. A small used ATV trailer may be cheaper, easier and safer.
