1999 Polaris Trailblazer (I think) won't start
I acquired what I believe is a 99 Trailblazer 250 2 stroke from a guy that caught it on fire. It damaged a bit of the wiring and other things, which I have replaced. Trouble is, I cqan't get it to start to save my life. I have a curse with 2 strokes. I have been building and repairing bikes for years, but never an atv. I have spark. I have fuel. Compression is at 115. I rebuilt the carb to spec (have the service manual). I can't get it to do anything but spin, no fire. Tested the stator and it's good, too. The only fire damage was to the plastics, a few wired, and the choke cable, which I also replaced. Can't even get it to jump with starting fluid. Thought I was flooding it, so I double checked floats and vents, set at 24 mm from mate surface. Using NGK plug, per manual, set at .028. New CDI installed. Ohms on stator are spot on. What am I missing?
