CV Joint in, but on to the next issue.
Got my new rear left side CV joint and shaft in. Separate issue. When looking at the rear of my 700 Sportsman, the right side is lower than the left by about an inch. Looking further I notice the right side shock is not centered in the spring. Could this be the problem? The plastic sleeve is wearing against the spring. The other side is perfectly centered in spring. Any ideas?

This was a common issue and people would also notice that one tire would stand up straighter than the other one or machine would seem to lean to one side or the other. You could actually pull "up' on the rear rack and they would straighten up until you put a load back on.On some we actually turned the spring around and seemed to help!! On a few of em we just ordered stiffer springs OR "cranked up"on the spring adjuster and it seemed to help. I would check also if there is any oil residue around the shock, could be needing replacement?? OPT

No oil around the shock, but great point. I will try both the spring adjuster and turn the spring up side down. When I take off the shock, what is the best way to check if it needs replaced. I checked out the OEM prices on the shock and spring and they are not overly priced. $70.00 for the shock and $53.00 for the spring. I may just replace both. Where can I get the stiffer spring? I assume a stiffer spring would not be an OEM part.
