Hi there Again!
two probs...
the darn chain keeps coming lose and even came off the other day. I adjust it with twisting the rear carrier like you should but the chain comes lose after riding.
and the hubs on the wheeler.
i saw on the forum that type f tranny fluid is okay, how much to use?
and i guess one more thing
should there be lubricant in the gear shift forward nuetral and reverse box...
thx as usual

If chain keeps getting slack after adjusting, either the eccentric is loosening up(not tightening enough) OR if the chain is an older chain, might be time to replace it! Just grab the chain and if you can wiggle it sideways in several places then the chain is worn out and will not keep tight. Another way to check is to tighten the chain, roll the machine and see if chain raises and lowers(high and low spots) and is tight then loose. Use Polaris Demand Drive Plus hub fluid in hubs,Type F was used back in 1986-1988 but can be used in a "pinch" until you get the right fluid. 30 wt oil is sufficient in the shift box, Fill to where the oil barely cover shift levers,DON"T over fill!
