Hey badazz400,

I just borrowed a co-workers 07 500EFI, Put it on the trailer towed it 5 miles and It was dead.
2 Day of trouble shooting the same exact symptoms.
Did the dealer give you any other info on the problem ???
(They are real quick to say bring it in for a diagnostic, for what appears to be a known problem)

I know that this machine is not covered under the ECU Recall.

Was it the PCM or ECU different sites show different parts ?

Seems like a lot of pdm problems on this year model. At least that's what I encountered on the some of the 07 500 efi's atvs and also the 2006 and 2007 Ranger 500 efi machines with pdm modules. Think badazz 400 had the pdm replaced,hopefully he will chime in. OPT

new to the forum, I joined because I bought my first atv this year, an 07 sportsman 500 efi browning edition, the problem, there is a delayed reaction when i turn the key on, kill switch is on as well, so,... delayed cluster lighting up and the ominous clicking sound underneath, machine has always started, however the delay is getting longer and sometimes I have to turn the key off again to get it started, thru tireless hrs of research it sounds like the pdm or ecm, my question,
is there a new part# for the pdm? someone mentioned an upgrade, my part# is 4011517, can i order this or should i look for an updated #
any help would be appreciated
