well it runs now i need to know if the oil pump is working,how much oil should come out from the pump when running ???

 

Always premix the first tank of gas 50-1 ratio to help break in! Jut hold the oil pump lever up all the way up at idle,it will be as if the engine is running wide open and the oil pump will be pumping faster! I always replaced the small oil line so I could see it start pumping toward the cylinder(after I bled the 10 mm bolt for any air on the oil pump) Plus it won't take long to reach the cylinder and start smoking a little extra because of the premix that is already in the tank as a protective measure!!.NO dry starts! Just run it awhile(the premixed gas in the tank will protect it) Then kill the atv,remove the line at the cylinder and if its wet on the end ,then the pump is working. OPT

 

thanks opt i did the pemix i pulled the line off the oil pump and just a lil dribbel came out with pump wide open at idle i will pick up some new line and try to find that bleder screw is it on the pump or???

 

Dribble of oil is fine! Even at wide open on the lever it won't pump much at a time!! OPT
