Polaris shift issue

Circuit breaker in a sealed pouch up from the battery that could be shorted out.Check that it has power on each side. If not slice the pouch open and replace this 20 amp breaker. Most auto stores have them. Plus check battery connections to make sure they're tight.
Shift problems are usually either linkage needs adjusting or the shift box parts are worn. You can usually adjust linkage to where it will do ok for awhile. Make sure the shift box and gear case are in neutral. Remove the nuts holding the linkage ball ends at the shift box, adjust both rod ends(in or out) to where they fall straight into the shift box levers with no pulling on the linkage or shift box slides.Tighten the lock nuts. Hopefully this will allow you to have low gear. If you still have problems you may have to replace worn parts in the shift box.Dirt Cheap Yamaha, Polaris, Suzuki & Kawasaki OEM Parts & Accessories – Cycle Parts Warehouse
