Default 2002 Polaris Sportsman 600

I have a Polaris Sportsman 600 and when I turn the ignition switch on to crank the motor, it has a slight delay before the motor begins to turn over to crank. As well as when I turn it off by the ignition switch, it has a slight delay before the motor turns off. Already replaced with a new ignition switch in it. Any ideas on what may be causing this?

Thanks!

If you still have the Ducati ignition system, then probably the cdi/coil pack is beginning to act up. The replacement Kokusan kit #2202603 for the 600 gets rid of this system for a more reliable one. Here's the kit installed on a 700 which is basically the same thing.
