2006 Polaris Sportsman 800 - Fan Problem (HELP, PLEASE)
#32
Yes there are way around purchasing the $1200 dealer only kit,but still a lot costlier than to just take it in and have it programmed.https://otbpowersports.com/product/ct-pol-afedxz-001/ One time use isn't worth the cost.

Thanks Old Polaris Tech......found a Polaris dealer here in Indy who will do it for $75 at 08:00 a.m. tomorrow (while I wait). It doesn't get any better than that. Will keep you posted once I get it back home and buttoned up tomorrow night.

Old Polaris Tech - Took the 800 Sportsman to the dealer right at 8:00 a.m. today and less than an hour later, after they flashed the new ECU, it started, and everything, including the fan, worked properly. I honest to gosh probably would have given up a month ago if it weren't for you helping me. I've been on other forums (JD & Kubota) and no one helped me the way you did. Appreciate your time, patience, and the fact that you always responded to me.
Take care, Kelly

Took her out yesterday and ran the wheels off of it. Heavy trails and about 15 miles. Ran unbelievably good.....actually great. Fan cycled on and off and all electrical worked perfect. Also, no more smoke or gas guzzling.
