Spinning noise after turning engine off
Just got this 2008 sportsman 300 this week. Great overall condition, 117 hours, 1400 miles. Very clean and looks to have been taken care of. I've spent the past few nights changing out all the fluids (oil, transmission, front diff, brake fluid) cleaned air filter, greasing all the various locations and what not. But In my usage of it I noticed that usually after getting it warmed up it makes a whirling / spinning noise after turning it off. I got a video of it here
.
It appears to be coming from the left side (when you are sitting on the unit).
I did a search and the nearest I found was suggesting a bad one way bearing? But that was on honda forum. it seems that bad one way bearings are often accompanied by hard shifting (mine seems to shift pretty with very little effort, at least no more than I'd expect it to need), or creeping forward when stopped and in gear, which mine does not do.
Thoughts on this? The unit otherwise rides and runs very well. I hope it's an easy fix and I didn't get screwed in this purchase
Thanks
