Default Polaris 3500lb winch issue

The 3500 lb winch stopped working on my 2016 sportsman 850. It clicks once when pressing in or out. I’ve hooked a charger up to the winch terminals which did make the winch work. Everything I read seemed to tell me the contractor was junk. I’ve now replaced that with a new one, but still have the exact same problem. Any ideas?

All connections tight? How about at the source, the battery itself? Have you load tested it? Even though it may be a newish battery they can still have a shorted cell. Any auto store can do it or you can use a meter at home. Pull the spark plug caps, crank the engine over. Should hold between 9.5-10.5 volts under a load.Possible you're not getting enough voltage to the winch contactor causing it to just click. This article explains better on battery checking. https://www.batterystuff.com/blog/ho...ry-is-bad.html
