Polaris or Dayco is all I've used and they have performed well, which ever you get the best price on is the way to go....

So which springs make the primary engage lowest I am trying to take the tendancy to wheelie out of my 500 2x4 Scrambler running blue/breen with 52g wieghts now and 1-2 secondary and when it starts the shift it will pick the front end up unless I am practically setting on the handle bars..
I have a Aaens clutch book and have read it like 20 times and I can not figure out what way to go to get the bottom end to go down some but keep the mid and maybe some more top end... changed the 38 tooth rear sprocket to 42 and it gets to plane like a boat faster, so I can have steering sooner.
I am pretty big guy 260lbs. so traction is not an issue... Love the mid and topend on this thing but tired of the bump on my forehead from the handle bars..

all the spring in the world will not fit properly set if you didn't got
the right gearing by using a check mark on the sheaves to fully
climb the belt on top of primary clutch, you use the helix to dial overall
rest of the fine tuning using a steeper angle to maintain rpm,
going to a stiffer primary spring must be the last thing to do
to increase engine rpm,my 2 cents...

Default Primary spring chart

Rick,
Suggestions for primary spring and wieghts and secondary spring and helix Stock 500 scrambler 2x4 with a 260+-lb rider?
Fthflh suggested yellow primary, 10-56 wieghts and aaen blue sec set at 2-2

I have a blue/green(stock) with 10-52 wieghts and stock silver set at 1-3 (Trying to keep the nose down) will raising the engagement rpm a little smooth the transition to full engagment. (soften it) ???

I read that you want to control rpm only with the drive clutch setting and the driven is the tune shift up and down area, is this correct?
It sounds like you have a bit of experience in this area is the reason for picking your brain..

Last what would primary & secondary springs and 10-56 wieghts run me... ???

Left the spring chart for Polaris springs on my pic page...
