The RZR should be faster than the rest, but with the 48hp 760 motor and retailing for $13,999.00 why not get the Can AM 1000 Commander with 85hp that retails for $12,799.00.
2011 Can-Am Commander™ 1000 Utility Vehicles

Even the 800 Commander has 70hp and retails for $11,699.00 2011 Can-Am Commander™ 800R Utility Vehicles

Its Crazy why Polaris is not using the 70hp XP850 motor in there side by sides yet.

From this site http://www.utvguide.net/polaris_rzr_s.htm
The new RANGER RZR S delivers unmatched performance using an 800 H.O. EFI Polaris twin engine that churns out 55 HP and a 63 MPH top speed for the serious adrenaline junkie.
The 760 in the SP800 make 48hp not sure were the RZR got the 7hp gain. Never the less, still well under the 800/1000 Comannder and 66hp of the Arctic Cat Prowler XTZ 1000 .

Polaris has a 750 Four stroke twin motor that makes 85hp and 145hp with Turbo assist in there sled line up for a few year now, might be time to shove it in a RZR.

I am wanting speeds on polaris I know what they advertise and from what I heard they are incorrect polaris boast the highest top speed of any of the side by sides bescides the commander but it has been out all of a few days and I have yet to hear from anyone that has one and have not heard a top speed yet.Im not wanting to do 80 so i dontcare about who has the most hp I just want to compare speed to the other pros and cons to make a descission, and the only concern about top speed is to get my cruising speed at a descent speed unlike the 25mph cruising speed of the rhino.I am a bit concervative I dont buy things on a wim and dont buy things the first yr it comes out so can-am is not an option for me I also think they are a bit ugly but I am sure they will grow on you.

there are several reviews out there and actually a few with head to head with the RZR S, generally the RZR S gets the hole shot but the Commander over takes in the mid range speeds and stays out front!
The common thread here seems to be the Commander has more straight line mid to top end speed, but the RZR S is better handling and generally better on the trails and kills in the rocks...the Commander seems to be a bit top heavy/twitchy compared to the RZR S and it's lower center of gravity!
The Commander seems to win the ergo comparison with great seats/cockpit layout and the storage is quite ingenious with the double box! Seems obvious that the Commander will easily be the sport/utility leader while still being very comparable with the RZR S in the Sport UTV segment!

Maybe the real point here is Polaris and CanAm seem to be the only players in the Powersports game that are doing any innovating at all while the rest are just holding on with their old stuff! Nice to see someone is taking up the torch and moving us forward!

Cheers!

Several reports that the 2011 2 seaters, both STD and S models run 68+ on GPS. Low end and mid-range is reported to be slightly slower than the previous models...but top speed is higher..
2010 S models...60-63..is about average.

Definitely shove the Turbo in there. That way, even more people will get killed or maimed for live. At the very least, a machine like will obliterate the trails to the point that the only place we will be able to ride is in our own yard, or pay to ride.

If we push it far enough, I'm sure we can get the government to step in and mandate limits. We all know what happens when the government steps in... don't we?

Ridiculous where this is all going.
