The ATVA is doing all it can to not let this happen. However, they need your support. If you're not a member JOIN!

I haven't read the article yet, but have heard about it. I don't think we have anything to worry about. The hottest selling quads are the "big-bores" and that means Honda, Polaris, Yamaha, etc. etc. are making way too much money to let any "ban" on big-bores happen. Look at how many folks are whining about the "inefficiency" of SUV's and big trucks. Have SUV sales declined. I highly doubt it (haven't looked at statistics, only traffic). If you look; now toyota and nissan (historically small and "efficient") are now offering full-size suv's and trucks. All with v8 engines. The atv mfg's have have something that the automobile mfg's have and the treehuggers don't; money, money, money. All they have to do is agree to start some tree-hugging friendly foundation and throw some money into from time to time and they'll quite down. Whenever politics come into play, the one with the most money usually wins. Like I said; I haven't read the article and may be speaking prematurely, but I think we'll be alright. Like the above post mentions, it is a good idea to become members of the atv friendly associations, but the manufacturers are not going to let some tree huggers cut into their lifestyles by much. By the way, the next time some tree-hugger asks you what your position is on deforestation, just say "I've never seen a house built out of owls".

I think all the tree hugging echo nazi liberals need to take a long walk down a short pier with lead protest signs chained around there necks. Think of all the natural resources that would be conserved by them not using gas, electricity, food, filling dumps with garbage, etc.

Otherwise they need to stop being hypocrites and shut the hell up.

I find it peculiar that all of these "earth friendly" people preach about conservation yet who manages, contributes and police the most? It's the hunters, fishers, hikers, atv'ers and all the other people that these groups are trying to oust from nature....

I sympathize with their plight but their methods are completely unjust, unnecessary and mostly wrong!

Can you imagine what would happen if the REAL conservationists quit spending the money and time that they do....talk about your outcrys....

There's my $.02

Sure the manufacturers are lobbying against this, but it doesn't mean you shouldn't be active on your own part. Join AMA, ATVA, a local club, local racing district, state ATV assoc. don't sit on your duff and think everyone else is gonna take care of you. These organizations hardly cost a tank of gas, and they fight for your priveledge to ride...eventhough some idiots (fellow riders) continually wreck that priveledge daily.

I hate tree huggers, I wish i could line em' all up and run em' all over with my big 4x4 2500HD Duramax chevy. Those liberal pansies need to be put in their place.
