rath's cdi rev box
Has anyone tried the Rath cdi box, seems like like the 9150 rpm limit is kinda low, that's only, what 650 above stock, or was the stock set to 9000, can't remember, with a stronger motor setup, will that be enough, (new springs and valves, etc....)
also, does anyone make a new shifter, I've got size 15 shoes and 6ft 6in in height, the way I sit, I just about have to lift my whole foot off the footpegs to downshift, I need somethiing longer and that can sit a little lower without sitting on the frame. |

Stryder, 9150 is plenty of rpm for the pred. anything higher and your going to get in the danger zone of floating valve's. You can shim the springs to raise spring pressure and get a few more RPM's, but there really not needed. Stock cams and high spring pressure's are going to cause pre-mature cam wear. 10,000 RPM runs and the stock crank are asking for major engine damage. Unless your going to build an all out race motor, Ti-crank, cams, springs, valves, billet sleeve and so long, I* would shy away from big RPM's. advance base timing 4 to 5 degree's, add some 110 octane, rejet accordingly and you will see a large improvement, below 9000 rpm's.

Or you can do it the right way and call HPD and get their spring kit that's good for 10,000 rpm.

You mean waste money on something you don't need, damage the stock cam. No reason to rev this motor to 10000. Unless you don't know how to make power in the mid range. Two stroke tech require's high RPM's I guess.

You build up a base to increase hp as the mods become available. When the cams become available, they're being finalized now, then you step up to the performance cams and the other head mods that will be offered, including a suitable CDI box. Instead of looking for the portable hand grenade nitrous button, this is how you build hp, and keep things reliable.

Modquad, you will never see the HP my Superbike 580 makes on the motor without the nitrous, much less on the bottle. Don't worry yourself with my motor blowing, it's built to take it and more. your out to sale parts for HPD, Hot Seat. Parts that people do not need for the average bike. No reason to touch the valve springs or cams on a mildly modified predator. stock works the best. even on the big bores, stock is still as good or better than any aftermarket cam produced.

I'm not out to "sale" which should be sell, any parts for anyone. These are reputable performance shops that have been there in the past, and will be there in the future. Not in the practice of wrongful credit card charges. Taking care of people, and making some great reliable HP. Oh yea, and not improperly billing credit cards either. Both of these shops offer gear from mild to wild. And no surprises on your credit card bills either.....hmmm, sense a trend here? Dishonesty is a pet peeve.
