I have a 300 xplorer and it is great. The question I have is how do I make it less intrusive. I work for a camp and many times I need to be quiet around the place. If you can help it will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Chuck

About the only things I know that you can do are

- Keep the exhaust completely stock.
- wrap the header pipe with header wrap from the head back as far as you can. The rest of the pipe is double walled I think.
- Keep the air box stock. (kkep the lid on, no extra holes)

also I had an 86 cr250 that I wraped the front part of the pipe with a thick semi truck tire inner tube that I cut into long strips. it Never melted or anyhting and it had a very noticable decrease in noise. I would be weary doing it on an air cool bike though. (not sure if yours is)

I wrapped my Aaen pipe on my 400 Scrambler and it made a huge difference in sound.
Jad.
