What???? Did you want to RACE down Rubicon trail with your 660? Go ahead. I'll crawl with the equiptment I pay for.

Or was it that you wanted to race through the mud holes?

Appearantly I just didn't get it. I wasn't in race mode to begin with (remember, everyone says a Scrambler isn't a SPORT machine). However, if [you] are racing me through these places, let me know. I'll bring along a tow rope. When I catch up to your "fast" (yawn) machine, maybe I'll tow you back if your ego isn't quite as big when I get there.

Now maybe if the title to this thread was Scrambler OVERDRIVE I may understand (probably NOT) where you were coming from?

Sorry for being sooo lost as to the content.

The 400 Xplorer tranny has been put in the scrambler 400 already by a member of this board. Here is the website with the quad on it. http://www.bertsdirtworks.com/ The one with low range is the monster scrambler.
I cannot remember the member name of the guy that owns it though. I know that 800Twin is friends with him though. (Thats 800twins 800cc twin scrambler next to the monster scrambler)

To start off, his scrambler gets stuck before my wolverine does. Spent more time pushing that scrambler out of the bottoms of dried up ponds. But if it had the groud clearence it would beat a wolverine.

I also don't think the 700sp is real. Everyone was talking about and the only 700 we have seen is the new 700 twin polaris snowmobile. But if is does come out I would like to see you jump it distances over 20' like I do with my wolverine. And I know jumping is important, because if it wasen't TDC would still have that Grizzly not a scrambler.

We aren't looking for bikes to do the Rubicon on we want fast bikes that can jump, mud, and everything else a sport bike can do.

Lurch77;

I know that people have swapped whole trannys. What I would like to know is if a whole new tranny is necessary. The trannys look the same, only the shift boss has been machined off the scrambler. Could a guy just buy THAT half of the case and a few more parts to fill it up with cheaper.

You would have to either be out of your mind or have extremely deep pockets to buy a new first year polaris model. Think of all the repairs.
