It's listed under the race mod kit for $50..... I really don't think you need a girdle kit with a trail mod engine. I think HPD will tell you the same, unless you are jumping a lot.

Getting the girdle kit can never hurt. Also, HPD has a weld on re-inforcing plate for the LH rear of the block, both great strengthening ideas.

AAEN has a girdle kit that works with the stock head. I'm not sure if it will work with a billet head but I would sure use it if it did. When I was a RCR last time he had three trail ported cylinders that had to be welded up ater they broke. Kevin

For a Stock head after modifications the Aaen girdle works well , I keep them on the shelf and use them myself .

HPD has said that the girdle kit is mainly for the high compression engines, and for people that land their jumps with the throttle on. I think that's why HPD didn't develop one for the stock head.

Like ModQuad said, it can't hurt......

that right, with the 15.5 head on,the engine shake like crazy even at idle, and i have the hardest HPD motor mounts, the best thing i found is the torque plate from arizona bad boyz,it cost 53$ and really does help to maintain the engine in the clutch alignments,a must have.

Gotta agree with that. The torque plate from Dennis (AZ Bad Boyz) when matched up with my super classified polyurethane mount system really holds the modded 400's in place. Just have to bug him for his wheelie bar...cause I don't think I'll have time to fab one up.
