Hi all I have a predator that kills the motor any time I go into water that is about 2 inches over the foot pegs I can leave it idle and push it in slow to the water and as soon as it goes over the foot pegs a little it dies my dealer says it is not built for water that high I don't beileve please help[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-disgusted.gif[/img]

correct me if i am wrong...but arent there some overflow hoses and whatnot hanging down low that is routed to the bottom of the frame, i think that might b the problem, if it is. just re-rout em so the hose ends are higher up

you have to re-route your carb vent hoses. No big deal. After you do that you will have no problems. run them up next to the frame rail under the seat and zip tie them on. I have had mine so deep (by accident) that the silencer was under water but it never missed a beat. Luckly it was a good rock bottom creek.

blueblaster is correct, if you look under your quad, you will see three clear tubes that run down to about the footpeg area. These clear tubes are coming from the carb. You should only have to reroute the two LARGER tubes up along the frame somewhere under the seat. I did this to my Predator and have had no problems with water above the footpegs killing the motor. However, of you get in up to and above the seat, you will have problems as you may suck water into the snorkel.
