If you must get a Polaris , look for a comepletely stock Polaris Sport 2wd . Do a top end job on it and spend a little time repacing bushings as needed .
If she can handle a hand clutch a Yamaha Warrior is a very reliable bike with good manners .
A Kawasaki Lakota has a automatic clutch with a foot shift , it is a reliable machine that is easy to handle as well .

When I first bought quads I got my wife a Trail Boss 325. She told me she didn't need anything as powerful as a 400 Scrambler. The dealer asked if she was sure and she said yes. Well into the second day of riding she comes in after riding mine for about 30 minutes and said I think I made a mistake. Not even a year later I sold it and bought her a 400 Scrambler like mine. I have the philosophy of better too much power than not enough. You can always ride a more powerful machine slow and easy but you have to spend some ching to make a lesser powered quad more powerful. Use the power or don't use the power it's up to you. I wouldn't think that a Scrambler is too much for her. Just my 2 cents.

I agree with duneaholic.
My wife loves her Scrambler 500. It is easy for her to ride (automatic). She didn’t like the Warrior we used to have because you had to use the clutch to shift. More power is better than under power in most situations. I would highly recommend something easy to drive and probably of equal cc to your machine, so she can keep up. You owning a Scrambler have her ride yours to see if she likes it.
