I've got a 1999 trailblazer 250 and need more power and speed. I was looking at gettin' a RCR stage 1 kit or the stage 1 or 2 from aaen performance. What power can i expect to get from these kits? My quad is in good condition, but it lacks off the line power. I ride mud, hills, trails, and sometimes drag. I need more acceleration and a little more top speed. Any suggestions? Thanks much.

If you want Great bottom end power with some added top end speed then the HPD trailpipe is the way to go. RCR has either a low, mid,or high end pipe and thats where you have to choose what you want. The HPD pipe is a great all around pipe but so you know you MUST get a clutch kit to match the powerband of the pipe. The RCR stage 1 kit can not be beat for the price but. RCR also sells HPD parts. If you have a little extra money then go with HPD. The AAEN pipe is good also but you will not get as much hp out of it unless you go with the top end pipe. HPD trail pipe is rated at 8hp gain, AAEN regular pipe is 5hp, AAEN top end pipe is 8hp, RCR is at 7-8 hp gain. I used to have the HPD pipe but I do alot of climbing so I needed the power at the top. I really like AAEN and can say that AAEN and HPD are at the top.

Depending on how much you want to spend or how deep your pockets are the Trailblazer has tons of mods from a mild trail kit to a full race mod. There are alot of people that can steer you in the right direction no matter what the problem.

Hey, thanks much for the advice, once i get a little more money i'll go ahead and get that stuff. Do u think that i can get a HPD pipe with the RCR kit for a little extra money? Also, i seem to be getting stuck more and more in the deeper mud, what tires do u think would be best for riding fast and mudding?

I was lookin at puttin some gator tires on my quad. Will this effect my top speed at all, and if so about how much? I really like the smooth ride the stock tires give, but i am a big guy and tend to sink more in the muckey stuff. Also, about how much can i bump up the size and still keep my rim and not have to do ne body work? Thanks again!

well i know the bigger the tire is the more loss of bottem end power. look at the mudlites i hear a lot of good things about them or the blackwater tires from itp i think?!?!

Save a small fortune. Look for a cyclone jug.

The cyclone came factory with 32 hp @ 7000 rpm. The most of any of the Polaris 250's to date.
