My dads 400 Explorer HSP pipe is the same. Pretty loud but we dont ride in any places where noise is a issue. Short of buying a new pipe you can cut and weld a stock or HPD silencer on. But for all that time and work it might be worth it to just buck up for the HPD pipe silencer combo.
