if all you want to do is pop wheelies, then you can get off cheap by just changing the gearing.
i have a 96 trail boss 250 that i swapped gears and i can do wheelies just fine,,, actually improved the throttle response which made trail riding much more fun.
i put a 10 tooth up front and a 36 in back.

I put the kit on mine, didn't notice a whole lot of top end difference. Now on the low end, WOW! Went to a 12 tooth front sprocket to get some more top end. Haven't had a chance to tell the difference yet, the exhaust pipe broke its weld. I do want to point out that this has nothing to do with Rick, this is a factory defect and in no way should be blamed on him. He did offer to fix it, but I chose just to do it myself. He has great customer service and the kit is well worth the money. It will take a liitle fine tuning on your part, but Rick will help you in any way he can. I say get the kit. I actually was doing wheelies with a broken exhaust. Can't wait to get it fixed and really test it out.
