just got back from trip

Default just got back from trip

and it was a blast, we're hoping to go tomorrow so i'll take the camera and get some pictures, i rode with a 500 scrammy, two 04.5 sportsmans, one 500HO and 400 and a 300 xplorer....we found a sand bar that we played around on and in the river. THe tires were a great idea... after the trip though it brougth me to ask a few quiestions..

On the way to the river we had to make some new trails through some pretty thick stuff so it was just slow crawling type and i fouled my plug...luckly i had an extra one...anyone know why it does that?

I also need to get that hose put in my gas tank because it has troubles idle'ing and its really annoying, it also bogs down off the start too, anyone have anyideas? im pretty sure its the pressure build up in the gas tank though...maybe not, im open to ideas.

another thing when i was washing mine i was trying my hardest not to get the tach wet but i still managed to do so....anyone know how to fix that?

As far as the plug....maybe running to rich. What kind of 2-stroke oil you using, and what kind of plug? I have always had good luck with NGK plugs.

And I use to run Polaris syn. 2-stroke oil, then I change to Klotz. Got to love the smell of Klotz 2-stroke oil.

i wasnt sure if it was running to rich but i didnt want to take the chance on the lean side so it might be rich...im using NGK plugs to and polaris blue 2 stroke oil

I don't blame you on the rich side. I burned a hole in top of the piston once[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-disgusted.gif[/img]. That will never happend again.....for sure now since I sold the Scrambler to buy the 05 Predator.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img] I was always running rich after that. As far as it boging down when taking off, I think that also has to do with being rich. Mine did that also.

ok i might go one size smaller...my engine is a gas hog ..im running a 240 main jet right now.

i'd love to sell my sport for a predator but i cant find any good deals on a predator and i don't feel like spending anymore money than i already am right now. and i cant get to much money outta mine either, i mean no more than 3000

WOW a 240 main jet. I think my Scrambler came out wih a 240. I was running a 320 main jet. You talking about a gas hog. I got a 88 Ford F250 4X4 and 2,500 in cash for mine. Now i'm trying to sell the truck to help out with the Pred. fund. As far as jets goes maybe mine came out with a 230 main. I have a zip lock bag full of jets. I have tried them all. And the help of RCR.

if i can find a pred for around 3900 im gonna jump on it.(im talking used, like an 03)

Nicholas Cycle is closed untill tuesday becuase of labor day weekend so i wont be able to pick up some new jets,

i also have an AAEN torquer pipe on its way so we'll see if that evens it out .

I was just talking to Doug this past week about what pipe to run on my Pred. And I just got off there web site. I called around to some polaris dealers and they was a few that had some 03. And I think they was around 4,000 to 4,500. (Maybe try that) Well I hope everything works out for ya.

yeah i gave my name to wes nicholas and was gnona have him call me if they got any used ones in but i havent got a call, 4000 to 4500 at bad i guess if i can get about 2800 for mine.
