OK, my neighbor and I have this joke thing going on. Ever since we got our winches, we hooked up to each other, forwards, backwards, and on concrete, asphault, mud, dirt, grass, snow, every surface that is available, and after dragging his butt around everytime, he finally knows the outcome and won't hook up any more. Oh, BTW, I have a Sportsman 600, and he has a Grizzly 660, and we both weigh within 5 lbs of each other. And we aren't kids, both of us are 30 yrs old. We just act like kids. Anyway, my cousin's brother-in-law-to-be just got a new Foreman 450 4x4, and he swears to Jimmy and Andy, my 2 cousins, that it's a tank. Well they told him that he should hook up to me sometime. He got a straight face and said, "Yeah I'll hook up to him or anybody." Can you say "Wake up call?"

Well, about 15 of us are going riding this Sat. I think he still wants to do it. Oh well, I'll try not to rip his frame apart, but I'll go about 20 or so feet before I'll stop, just so he won't think such nonsense anymore.

LOL yea the Sportsmans are tanks! When your on one you just know you can't be stoped (by mud or another atv you hooked up too). And to be so big and heavy the 700EFI is the second fastest big bore 4x4 ATV!

actually it is probably the fourth....with the brute force, praire 700 and then the prarie 650 then the 700efi but yeah...normally the one with more weight will win in a pulling context because more weight = more traction...

did both of you have your stock tires on?

Yeah, both Doug's Grizz and my Sportsman have stock tires. He has stock everything, I have a K&N filter and a gray/white, next step up from stock, primary spring, but I out-pulled him before the new spring and filter change too.

You're right though, tires and weight, and power to an extent, make a good puller. That's one of the reasons I bought the Sportsman 600.
