Im thinking of getting a pipe and clutch kit put on my 500 scram , Only problem is that all of the dealers that are close to me are yamaha,honda,kawi. My question is. installing a jet kit and pipe on a raptor is one thing, now is it relativaly the same precedure on scrambler? or is it a different animal and maybe a raptor mechanic woudlnt neccessary know how to do the work on a scrambler? Help me out so i can start deciding whos gonna do my work for me. Thanks guys .

Also, any reccomendations wouldnt hurt. I dont need to go ALL out now, just want some extra tourque and power , throttle response. will just a pipe help ? just a jet kit? just a clutch kit? just KandN ? Before i buy tho, i def. need somone to make me all warm and fuzzy inside , while there working on my bike. I cant wait to have the time in the future to tear the bike apart and learn everything. Just dont have the time these days.

A pipe and clutch mods along with a K&N will do the trick.A good pipe for the $$$$$ is the White Bros.As for a clutch kit I wouldsnt get the whole kit.Just a Polaris white or green primary spring green has more stall speed and a little more shiftout.White is a good choice if you want low stall and just a little more umpf.If you go to a high stall you will loose some of the torque.Set your secondary at 2-2 instead of the stock 1-1 and you will be set.Dont let a dealer tell you that you have to clutch to your pipe.You dont have to on 4strokes unlike the 2strokes that have to have the clutch matched to the rpm range of the pipe.For more info call Rick Ritter at RcR .
