Don't learn the hard way

Just a quick warning... I had two scramblers stolen from my barn and my insurance guy says they are not covered under the home owners policy. Basically he is telling me I am SOL. He said motorized vehicles are supposed to have there own individual insurance policy. If you don't already know it would be a good idea to check how your coverage works. Also if you see any good deals on a 2002 500 4x4 or a 2000 400 4x4 let me know, both have mud lite tires and extended mud flaps. They may be mine or I may want to buy another. These were taken from the Central Ohio area.

certain homeowners insurance companies will cover theft of your atv's but you have to put a ryder on the policy for the atv's. my homeowners wouldn't add a ryder so I had to insure both my quads through my car insurance agent. for both of my 700EFI's it is about $750.00 a year.

Whoa, you guys are paying a lot! I got a Polaris insurance thing in the mail and it was only $200, but I went with my car insurance co (American Family) and I pay $150 a year for everything except medical (I already have health insurance). I did get the multiple vehicle discount.

Sorry to hear about your loss. I just got some parts stolen off my truck 3 nights ago. Someone decided to make a midnight autoparts run. Dang I wish I would have caught them. I didn't hear my alarm go off but believe me, if I would have heard it things would have gotten pretty ugly. My only concearn now is that they got away with it once, so who knows what they'll try to pull off next. Hopefully the german shepherd hears them next time!

I went out and bought a 2001 that needs some work. I made sure I have coverage now. I got bodily injury, property damage and comprehensive - 100 deductible for $54.00 per year. Its on my auto policy with ERIE Insurrance.
