If they are like my 700 I would not worry about the belt getting wet. I ride threw alot of water on my rides plus here on the farm we have a creek and I'm alway riding threw it with no problems. Bought mine new and not a problem yet with a wet belt.

All the snorkels, belt and intake are up under the headlight pod. You would have to be in water that deep in order for you to get your belt wet. If you are that deep, the belt is the least of your concerns as that is where water can get into your engine. BTW, the snorkels up there are the tallest in the industry. Take a Rubicon for example (I used to own one), the engine would be completely filled up with water before the belt or engine on the SP800 got wet....

the belt on the 800 is completely sealed to the top of the quad were the intake is. like said, they have the tallest snorkles in the industry (polaris) and ontop of that, polaris quads are some of the best mudders and so forth made next to yamaha.
