I have been quoted $5400 for a 2000 and $5900 for a 2001 (not an ho). Can onyone tell me what they paid for their 2000 or what they have seen for prices on the 2001. I would prefer a 2001 silver but there may be a good price incentive on leftover 2000s. No promotions from Polaris, maybe it would be better to wait. Thanks for any info.

 

My dad bought a 2000 Mag 500 for $5500. He called every dealer in a 150 mile radius and that was the best price he was quoted. 5400 is a good price and I doubt you'll beat it.

I haven't seen a 2001 yet at any of the dealerships in the Twin Cities. $5400 is a good price on that model.

 

I paid $5600 plus tax for mine last March, in Northwestern Wisconsin. A friend in Minneapolis paid $6200 for his machine with EBS, about 3 months back (said he had a tough time finding it), not sure is that was before ar after taxes??

 

I think the 2001 comes with EBS while the 2000 model doesn't. Another thing to consider.

 

My Magnum was manufactured on 3/20/00 and came with EBS

 

The 2000 had EBS as an option. It looks like the Dealers around here are just starting to get in their 2001 500 Magnums. I should be able to look at one this week. No HO(bad). I Know they will switch to HO after they use up the old motors. Why would they want two 500 engines? I don't know if its worth jumping on one now or waiting. Then there is the whole Kawasaki thing.

 

A dealer here in Montana was asking $7499 for a 2000 Sportsman 500 HO. A buddy picked up on the same machine in Cooke City Mt. for $5800.

 

There is no such thing as a 2000 SP500 HO. They came out as an early release of the 2001 model year.
