Default Battery problem

My sportsman 1997 400 starts every time with electric start until the lights are ran. If the lights are turned on for 10 minutes while riding the bike will not start, electric start,. The battery is 9 months old. I can pull start and ride for 30 minutes with no lights and it will electric start with no problem. I had the battery checked at a parts store and they said that it was ok but it still would not start the bike.

I just baught this bike so Im not sure if it is the correct battery. Does anyone have the specs for the right battery.

Default Battery problem

sounds like the battery either isnt charging while running or there is an excessive draw from lights. check all connections and check battery voltage while running in neutral at about 1/8 - 1/4 throttle. then check with lights on and see what difference there is.

the battery should be a yb14aa2 depending on brand these number may change some
