Well one thing you forgot about the new Kawasaki

Well fellows it sure sounds good and even as much as I love Polaris sounds like Kawasaki is on the right track but I like Greg if it doesn't have IRS it really doesn't interest me. The one thing everybody forgot is what about the price for parts for the Kawasaki, if you all remember here a while back on the forum someone was looking for a rear shock for a Kawasaki, I don't remember the model but the rear single shock couldn't be rebuilt and the cheapest he could get a replacement for it and this was SEARCHING ON THE NET WAS ABOUT $687.00...so I guess my point is no matter how good or improved the machine is will the parts be priced out of this world...

Say what you will but the Polaris parts are a lot cheaper and as I remember the post it was more like $700 than it was $500...this is what turned me toward the Artic Cat when I first bought that and a few more things about the kawasaki one of the things was EBS...sure hope kawasaki comes with an extended warranty with prices like this...

Most ATV parts are a complete rip-off,regardless of the manufacture.Brake pads?It can cost 80-90 dollars for a complete set at some dealerships.Clutching?350 dollars or more.An air filter?12 dollars.
I can purchase front and rear brakes completely around my truck for UNDER 40 dollars,I can purchase the entire clutching for under 150.Air filter,2.99 cents.
The Polaris pads really get me.You can buy BOTH front pads cheaper than you can buy the one rear brake pad set-up.Who's ripping us off?And I know its just not Kaw and Pol manufactures either,they ALL have their own little rip-off tactics.Until more aftermarket ATV parts become readially available,what else can we do?Supply and demand.
I highly recommend the extended warrenty with ANY 4x4 quad.===Bill

I think Kawasaki will not be using IRS on this monster. What I remember from other posts is IRS are heavier. With a twin 650 they will be pushing the envelope to classifying it as an OHV.

Keep telling yourself that Polaris is the best, ATVING, pretty soon you will reassure your own doubts! So the parts are expensive huh, well good thing Kawi's don't break down as much as some other brands!
Another guy complained about the belt prices, well if they're anything like Polaris belts they'll last for years, so this is a non issue right?
You guys all whine about any new machine even before it's tested just because it threatens the poor SP. I don't care if it's the griz, ruby or prairie.

The Kawasaki dealer tells people under NORMAL use it SHOULD last the lifetime of the quad. he has had it 10 months, and several Prairie owners have also gone through belts at 100 plus a pop, I have never used a belt on any of my Polaris machines. I am just telling you what I know from one of my best riding buddies. At least if I need a belt all I will need is under 30 bucks and 20 minutes of time. Apparently Kawasaki belts are nothing like Polaris belts 3 times as expensive and need to be changed allot sooner. As for the his Kawasaki he had a list of things he needed done to it while it was getting the belt. Brakes, a couple seals, a knocking noise in the clutch.
