Breaking in my Rebuilt 400 engine

Default Breaking in my Rebuilt 400 engine

for the first few tanks of gas, should i use polaris blue oil, or would Synthetic AMSoil be OK. Ive heard that you shouldnt use synthetic to break in an engine, what do you guys think

I used Amsoil during break-in with no problems. Actually that's all I ever use. I think that applys more to 4 strokes.

I've been told to use dino oil for the first couple of tanks of gas. The theory is synthetic has a higher flash point and may lead to glazing of the cylinder walls rather than seating the rings.

Now that I say that, others say that new atvs come with synthetic so use what you want.

I used Amzoil during my break in also with no problems.
