What's wrong?
I rode my 800 for a couple of hours today and while riding I came to a stop and it died on me twice. I started it back up immediately both times and it ran fine. This is the third time it's done this. The first time it died was a couple of weeks ago. I didn't pay that much attention to it but twice today concerns me. Since I only get a chance to ride it a couple of hours every weekend, I decided to use a little fuel stabalizer. I think I've seen some other post on this forum of common problems like this. Can anyone help?

What's wrong?
The throttle cable just below the throttle, pull the rubber apart and adjust the cable a little(lengthen). Might have to idle engine down afterwards.
If you pull the throttle cover off and look to see if electric overide switch is touching or not. It will be touching a little, which would kill engine. Or you have water in fuel. Alway fill tank after riding to keep moisture out. |

What's wrong?
I don't think I have read of any 800's having bad fuel pumps but definitley keep an eye out for it because there were quite a few 04 700EFI's that had that problem, one of my two had a fuel pump go bad after only 11 miles on the odo. the other thing to watch out for is if you have a key chain on your key check to see if it hits the gas cap when you turn the handle bars. I'm not sure if the 05's have that issue or not but the 04's did.

I second the keychain.
Have nothing on there other than maybe the ring. |
What's wrong?
I had the same problem with my scrammy, put a K&N filter on it and it purrs like a kitten.
