Can't Find It
 
alright guys i have been looking and looking for a stinkin thread....i am tryin to locate a thread about radiator guards for the newer Sportsmans...it just sits under the original front bumper...i can't rememeber were i found it at and i need a picture of it so i can make it...i lack creativity to make a new design from scratch and need the pic...if you can help me out i would grately appreciate it...

I am not sure if this is what you are looking for but I found this one on Ebay item # 4537292869 Polaris Sportsman Radiator Guard 2004 2005 EFI 400 800. Hope this helps.

Ok...what is your time worth to you? I couldnt make one and be anywhere near the$ 89 Troy is asking . Prolly' spend an hour getting the size down , an hour going to get the metal , two hours Cutting it up , another hour farting around with it [if you were lucky] then paint and hardwear ...plus those clips that allow you to use a much larger bolt instead of a screw. Now never mind that these things have a sweet powder coating finish. Did you guys make your own brush guard also ...?

Its like anything I make though, a sense of accomplishment. Your right, the $89 is a fair price, as a matter of fact I ordered one last night in black wrinkle.

The aluminum would be nice and not that hard to make. I have a Millermatic 251 with a spoolgun for welding aluminum, so thats not a big deal. The steel unit would be a little stronger, but the offset is that it would weigh close to twice as much as the aluminum unit.
