BUSH - Here's why -

This will be my first chance to vote, the last election I wasn't old enough. I have always been interested in politics and listen to Rush Limbaugh 2-3 times a week and watch Hard Ball a lot.

Al Gore keeps talking about how he will change America in the next 4-8 years. If I'm not mistaken he and Bill Clinton had the last 7 years to make this country what they felt was right. Gore says the country needs this or that, what the hell has he been doing the last 7 years, inventing the next internet? Al Gore is for Socialism. He thinks we are all responsible for each other. Funny, no one seems to help me at work. I bust my hump 53 hours a week to give a third of it to the government, to Al Gore.

If Al Gore is elected, the USA would be in horrible hands. Our health care system would be a mess. Al Gore wants our health care to be paid by everyone, just like Canada or England. We are talking HUGE amounts of tax dollars taken from everyone to fund a bad program. Doctors won't get paid what they deserve or what they make now and less and less skilled sergeons will enter the field. Where's their motivation?

I don't make over $50,000 a year, so according to Al Gore I shouldn't get a tax break from Bush, which is actually more "fuzzy math:. Because if you read the facts I do receive a taxcut. Everyone who works will recieve a taxcut from Bush.

XPLOR- You made the comment your glad to live in Canada. Let me ask you, do you have good health care and is it what you'd want if you could choose? I don't mean it as a slam I would just like to know. I have read that a lot of wealthier Canadians come to the US for healthcare because the doctors are better, is this accurate?

Sorry so long, I really do enjoy politics, VOTE BUSH!

hoolio

I would like to hear your specific reasons for voting for Al Gore? Not trying to start an agruement here, just would like to hear your reasons.

By the way, the Congress did not take away the riding areas, the Department of the Interior is responsible for these actions. The Department of the Interior is run by a guy named Bruce Babbitt. He was appointed by Clinton/Gore and is basically a puppet for them. They pull the strings and he jumps. He is the one responsible for millions of Pittman-Robinson funds that are collected from purchases of hunting related items being given to animal rights organization. That just ticks me off. These funds are supposed to be collected as a tax on hunting gear and used to fund wildlife enhancement. Instead they are used to fund animal rights groups and Department of Interior trips around the world.

Also, another thing that ticks me off about the Clinton/Gore administration is using the appointing of liberal judges to dictate their liberal social policies. The new scheme in this country is if you don't like something, sue the crap out of it till its bankrupt. First the tobacco companies were targeted and know the gun manufacturers. Who is next?

Finally, the government is not responsible for the booming economy. Hard working Americans and big corporations are responsible for the economic boom. Governments do not make money, they simply redistribute it.

Sorry this was so long. I would like to hear your responses.

I will vote for Bush. It not because he is the best man for the job, he is the lesser of the evils. As a farmer Gore is more dangerious. As an Idahoan, we have enough wilderness land and Gore wants more of the west turned into wilderness.

To those of you who aren't going to vote this year because you don't like anybody.....

That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard. If you don't like either of them, get off your butt and do some research to find out which one you like less!!! Not voting is just plain laziness, and you forfit your right to complain for the next 4 years. Morons...

Guys, I gave my reasons, in detail on page 1. I ask all of you who are undecided or voting for Gore to read it. Please. It's long, but I would like to hear your views after you read it. What I wrote was from the bottom of my heart. This election is too important to not vote, or vote for a third party who can't win. Please read it and then vote your conscience. I could get much more in depth. Anyone wishing to email me, please do.

I cannot believe the TV polls show this race as close as it is . It really concerns me that the ideas and ideals of Al Gore have such a huge appeal to the poeple of the United States.

I went to a public school and do recall learning about different types of governments . According to the descriptions and characteristics I was taught we are evolving closer and closer into a socialist country .

George Bush has the right idea on taxes . LOWER
THEM . How much better would poeple fare if they had more of their money ? I think the need for some of the programs for assistance would lessen a measurable amount just by doing this .

Gun control , what silliness, I am really not concerned about citizens legaly carrying of concealed handguns . I personally don't own a pistol . But I do own many guns . Any of you have been to my shop know I have 2 or 3 in my office in plain open view , I don't recall anyone feeling threatened by there presence .

Politics are a complicated mess . But as I wade through it all it sure appears to me that George Bush has the a much better path to follow than Al Gore .

Well I was not the one that brought it up, but I do disagree with you BIS, several of you are asking us to vote for the least of 2 evils in a matter of speaking. I grew up a democrate but switched to the reform party. bucannon is a republican transplant and not a true 3 party member due to how he got there. Of course gore is not a good choice. I know that. Many of you say, that since we know that, we should vote for bush. I don't think a person should vote for a person they don't believe in. I don't want to loose our rights to bare arms or loose our rights to ride our atv's on our public land. Many people above have given some very good posts about this subject. To me each persons vote is sacred, including not voting if a person feels that way. Maybe ralph nader is no good either. I have time to find out before I vote. I believe in third party reform because it is so clear to me what the republican and democratic partys are doing. for example, if you think that either candidate really
cares if you and I get one extra dime back from tax cuts. No way. They need and want all they can for and because of all the special interests each has. Every 4 years for the last 40 years. We hear the same promises over and over again. If every promise that had been made had been kept. the u.s.
would be a much better place then it is in fact. Each 4 years, we as americans loose more and more of our rights as citizens. Evey time a new law is made, another group of americans lost some more rights. over and over again. we can thank these 2 partys for that. I in deed, have a hard time deciding whom to vote for. But don't tell us that bush is the right and only choice when he needs his political diapers changed just like al gore does. To me there really is not a good candidate this year. rangerchet
