Is there an amazing difference between the stock front suspension and aftermarket progressives?
I tried following a Banshee in the whoops today and just didn't seem to have the front suspension I needed. It bounced around like crazy. I was thinking it is because of the heavy front end...but will new shocks and struts help a lot? Thanks guys...looks like I am going to be spending some money! |
try the fox struts in the front they are supposed to be real good

I would also look at the works struts. i heard there pretty good to.

Is there a web site with info on any of these companies? Who sells them? Rocky mountain maybe???

One of the mags had an article on aftermarket suspension setups for Polaris machines. They said they helped a great deal.
The number for the kit is #PFSPRKIT, call them at 1-800-699-0947 |

I have the Fox 1.5 front struts like in the magazine. They just are a tad smoother, bottom out a little less than stock. Not worth all that fake hype the magazines throw around. Get some stiffer springs and some better shocks. You can only do so good with these heavy scramblers. I am buying a new rear shock tomarrow cause the adjuster thing broke and slid to the bottom. Maybe Polaris will get real someday and make some competition sport quads! we only hope. Good luck with your suspension setup.

Try to get in touch w/ Mike Chero
He just added longer A-arms and some worksperformance struts up front on his 400L. Erin |
There is no way your scrambler will ever be able to follow a yellow/red banshee in whoops!! ahah you'll catch me in the next mudhole!!
:) :) :) :) :) :) :) that was sure a good ride! |
Wait untill next weekend Zorro! Drag race through the mud!!
It was a great ride indeed. I forgot to tell you, right after leaving your house I ran out of gas...luckily after pushing for a while someone stopped with a bit of fuel! Next time I will bring my extra tank! Later, :) Brian |
