Ford all the way. You just cant go wrong when towing with thier new v-10, 362hp and 457 tourque at only 3250rpm's, thats about 75 more tourque at 1200 fewer rpm's and 17 more hp. I've never owned a deisel and never will for cerain reasons. They cost about 5 grand more, noisy, smelly, not every gas station has deisel let alone deisel is 30 cents more expensive than gas. If thier was no ford it be chevy, because thier gas engine is very similar in thier hp and tq specs.
that Fors V10 sounds like the GM 8100 Vortec. BIG power.............VERY thirsty! they more than likely get 6 MPG at best.

what the hell do you all have to tow (and how often) to justify 6MPG?

it's a pure WASTE imo. a pure waste of your $$ and pure waste of fossil fuels.

someday a Mfg will produce an "intelligent" truck and your gas hogs won't be worth 10cents on a dollar. what will it take to wake you guys up? $100/week for fuel? $200/week? $5.00/gal?

look at the US cunsumption compared to other Countries! we are all still living VERY fat. (and that's not a good thing)

"The reason Ford outsell Chevy is because you have to buy them more often."( from kwiknik)

well if thats your reasoning, dodge sells less than chevy, so dodge must be better than chevy, in fact
who ever sells the least amount of trucks must be best!!! come on give us a break!!!! does that
reasoning aply to atv's also?

FORD.

i may be bias because i work for ford but i've always liked. good power and easily the most comfortable. love my 2004 f150 fx4 supercrew. i've owned 2 dodge trucks before (ram and dakota) before i started working at ford, as my stepdad works for chrysler, and i've had so many rear ends go out in them it was crazy, u-joints would go out every year. my stepdads did too. he's on his 2nd truck in 3 years because of rear end problems. he told me everyone at work bitches about the rear ends going out.
Ford also has the quietest interior ive seen, and most comfortable. my supercrew has a lot more room in the back bench then my dads ram.. even he has said my truck is more comfortable of a ride. i think dodge comes in like 3 different interiors..woooo i believe ford has something like 13+?

yeah, powerstrokes are so weak, i watch one pull a broken down semi with a loaded trailer around the parking lot at work.. if thats not enough power for you, i'd like to know what the hell you plan on pulling.

weak as hell all right, the power stroke is rated by ford to pull 20,000 pounds, dodge dosnt even rate that high and they have a better engine
